Honest questions

How long is "free during the beta"?

Until we feel ready to open the doors. Probably a year, maybe longer. We won't flip the switch without telling everyone first.

What happens if Ana shuts down?

Your archive comes with you. The export tool is open-source and the file formats are universal — your recordings outlive the company.

Why charge by storage, not by user?

A 30-second voicemail and a four-hour interview aren't the same product. We'd rather you keep what matters than feel taxed per minute.

What about the avatar — is it extra?

Yes, but only later. The avatar is opt-in and consent-gated, and is priced separately when we open it. The recordings themselves never become an upsell.

Can I move my archive to my own server?

Yes. There's a self-host option for the technically inclined — same encryption, same formats, just on your hardware.

Discounts for hospice, hospitals, oral history?

Always. Email us and we'll find something that works. Some of our favourite users are doing exactly this kind of work.
